the Blog report
This week the staff of High Speed Web started things off with a nice write up on how to make your digital music available to you from any Internet connected PC. MP3Tunes offers 25GB of free space, and you can purchase more if needed or wanted.
Did you know that it’s estimated that there are over one BILLION PC’s installed around the world? This number does not include the number of PCs that have yet to be sold or have simply been built, but instead the estimated number of PCs in use. This number is also expected to grow by 12% each year as more and more countries develop technologically.
Also a couple of new tutorials are available. The first delves into how to use the Linux tool strace to debug cpanel’s WHM web interface. The second is how to get back the 20% of bandwidth that windows reserves for updates etc. I won’t go into detail on either in this newsletter, but both are worth checking out.
Lastly, if you have ever wanted to try the latest greatest OS from any of the suppliers, but haven’t wanted to hose your system to do so then this post is for you.
“Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh and OpenSolaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4 and 2.6), and OpenBSD.”
